Our story
Cooking for Dar es Salaam since 2019
Empire Food Point began with a charcoal grill on a busy corner. The queue told us to keep going.

Who we are
A neighbourhood kitchen that happens to cook everything well
Empire Food Point sits on Ali Hassan Mwinyi Road, where the lunch crowd from the offices meets the evening crowd coming off the beach road. We cook for both.
That means our menu is wider than most: coastal pilau and biryani beside burgers and pizza, ugali plates beside chips mayai, and a juice bar that squeezes to order. What holds it together is how it is made: fresh, to order, and by people who eat it themselves.
We seat sixty indoors, run the grill from midday, and deliver across Dar es Salaam until close. Whether you order in a few taps or walk in and point at the grill, you get the same food.

What we hold to
Four things we do not compromise on
Bought fresh, daily
Our produce and meat come from Kariakoo market each morning. What we cannot buy fresh, we do not put on the menu.
Charcoal, not shortcuts
Mishkaki and grilled chicken are cooked over real charcoal. It takes longer and tastes like it should.
Service that answers
A real person picks up the phone. Riders call before they reach your gate. Mistakes get fixed, not argued about.
Recipes with roots
Our pilau masala is ground in-house from a family recipe. The coastal classics are cooked the way they were taught.
